Sapa is home to a great diversity of ethnic minority people. It is likely that, Sapa was first inhabited by highland minorities of H’mong and Yao group and later came the Tay, Zay, and a small number of Xa Pho to form the 5 main ethnic groups which takes about 85% of the district’s population today and a very small number of them live in Sapa town, most of themlive in small villages and hamlets scattering in valleys and hamlets scattering in valleys and mountains throughout the district.

Itinerary
Day 01: Hanoi – Lao Cai by Overnight train
19:30 from Hotel in Hanoi , our tour guide will transfer you to Hanoi train station for the 21h15 train to Lao Cai.
8 hours sleep on the train

Day 02: Sa pa – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Sapa – Overnight in hotel

06:00 Pick up at Lao Cai train station to Sapa. Check in hotel if room available or a good place to store your luggage and shower then breakfast
-After breakfast, start 6km of walking down to the south east of Sapa along the side of Muong Hoa valley to Y Linh Ho village of the Black H’mong.
-More trekking down to Lao Chai village, through terraced rice fields to Ta Van village of the Dzay
PM
-Lunch at a local family, it gives you a worth chance to learn about the local house architecture with the confusion of their daily life styles through long -year customs.
-Enjoy the landscapes…on the way.
-Trek up to the main road for a standby car or motorbike to Sapa
-Check in hotel for a Relaxing night in Sapa

-Trek from Sapa to Ma Tra village, the route known to travelers as it is really authentic with less tourist and still intact where you can find something original even though it is not much far from Sapa
-Enjoy Picnic lunch or lunch at a local family
PM
-Trek to Ta Phin village where we have chance to learn about the life styles and the custom of the red Dzao minority. Enjoy landscapes…
-Then a car to pick up to return to Sapa.
-Free time and overnight in Sapa

Day 04: Sapa – Cat Cat – Sapa – Lao Cai – Hanoi by Overnight train
AM
-Enjoy buffet breakfast at hotel
-A walk down to see Sapa Market and then trek down South-west of Sapa to visit Cat Cat village of the Black H’mong. See the stunning waterfall and the vestige of a hydroelectric power station constructed by the French during the colonial time in Vietnam.
-Return to Sapa for lunch at the hotel or a local restaurant

-Free time in Sapa
-17:00 transfer down to Lao Cai for the night train to Hanoi
